11th May 2019 -Mother’s Day | Brightland School

“A mother is she who can take the place of all others, but whose place no one else can take.”

Mother’s Day is a special day, for all children and mothers as, it celebrates the everlasting love between them. Brightland college celebrated this special day on 11th May on its campus by inviting all mothers of our pre-primary and primary students, with jubilation and zeal. The venue was aptly decorated in keeping with the theme. The program began with the sacred ceremony of lighting the lamp. The students presented a myriad of programs in honor of their mother. Group dance, song, skit and much more. The Director of the college Mrs. Reena Manas addressed all the mothers and wished them for their selfless love and services in the welfare of society. She described a mother’s love, her caring attitude towards her children, as a lifeline of their life. She also encouraged the children to be imbibed with virtuous deeds and resort to ethical ways to grow into a good human being.

In the honor of the mothers and to create memories the college had organized various funfilled competitions also for them like kitchen Queen, Mehandi, Hairstyling and Ramp Walk. The mothers as participants enthusiastically participated in it. For judging few famous dignitaries from the fashion world, culinary , NGO’s were invited. Mrs. Ranjita and Mrs. Neelima Kapoor well-renowned chef in the culinary world adjudged the Kitchen Queen Competition. The Ramp Walk was judged by Mrs. Kopal Arora, belonging to the fashion world. Mehandi and Hair Styling were judged by Mrs. Anita Mitra, Mrs. Asha Agarwal, and Mrs. Madhu Verma.
The mothers were so excited to perform that it seemed as if their childhood had retreated.
The results were  announced and  gifts were given to the winners.

All in all it was an enjoyable and memorable day for all.

22nd April 2019 -Earth Day Celebration

Brightland College celebrated Earth Day on April 22nd 2019 in its campus with parents of classes I to V students with great enthusiasm. The aim was to sensitize the students and their parents towards their duty in addressing global environmental challenges at grass root level. The event started with floral tribute of Late Shri Ram Manas Sir, the founder manager of Brightland  College and the plantation ceremony to mark the occasion. A welcome song was presented by the college choir.


The Director Mrs. Reena Manas addressed the parents and highlighted the importance of our divine mother earth and its resources. She encouraged the parents to remember each day as earth day and make children understand the value of our resources. She also imparted with the beneficial guideline for the parents regarding their duty towards their children. She stressed on the educational factors like diary checking, Homework completion, submission of work on time, interacting with teachers, sharing problems, avoiding the use of mobile, etc all the parameters which a parent should be doing. Various programs were conducted by our primary (I to V) and senior students like group dances, skit, group presentation, nukkad natak  etc ,each item signifying the essence of Earth day. The program concluded with rakhi tying to a tree by the students and parents. A huge rakhi was made and a historic moment was created. Parents were given saplings, as a remembrance of that epic day.

19th April 2019 -Parent Orientation Program (VI to IX)

Orientations are held to familiarize the parents with not only the rules and regulations of the institution but it also helps them to understand as to how they can contribute as partners in progress of their child’s learning.
Brightland College held its Orientation  Program for the parents of the students of classes VI to IX. The parents were welcomed with a prayer song and a skit based on the do’s and don’ts of the duties of the parents, towards their children,was performed. The Director Mrs. Reena Manas in her address to parents stressed on the changing methodology, enhancing the personality development and much more. The orientation program ended on a good note with an aim of growing our children into happy, skillful and creatively well adjusted citizens.scenario and how important it is to have healthy interaction with children. She imparted college rules and regulations and pointed out that parents should not make comparison between siblings, or use harsh de-motivating words. They should try to develop a positive atmosphere at home. She also raised the point of competitions among children and how important it is, to be regular to school. She encouraged parents to be aware of their child’s progress and to interact with teachers more n more.

Srijan NGO conducted an Himmat Abhiyan titled ‘Mahavari Swatchata ka Himmat Abhiyan’ based on the uses of sanitry pads and keeping one clean with the motto of ‘Tan Swatch to Man Swatch’ in the campus of the Brightland college. The workshop proved to be beneficial for all.
