Exams are a crucial part of education and the
source of stress for many students. In order to avoid nervousness from these
irritating evaluations, it is important to approach them with a clear mind and
an understanding of how to deal with stressful situations more broadly. In many
cases, exam stress is all in the mind, and mental discipline is a large part of
what is needed to succeed. Brightland School
And
it is this doubt that poisons the will to succeed and creates fear, The Fear of Exams. It arises in mind and
then to the conscious self and gradually starts affecting a student’s performance.
The stress is then evident outside through: nail-biting, legs twitching,
excessive worry and frequent headaches sleep disturbance, etc. and effects
both physically and mentally without being known to self.
The solution lies in first calming the physical body and the mental self and
finally moving to the inner self- the seat of our confidence and courage, the seat of our will and more than that- our love towards our goal.
Following key points can be exercised:
·Taking care of health paves a way for better
preparation.
·Make
exams your time-bound assignment.
·Form
small chunks of your revision.
·Quick
de-stressing: Being okay with the consequences.
A fixation on tracking our growth & capabilities using a
standardized marking system gets implanted on us at an early age. By the time
we reach adulthood, many people simply accept this as the only method to gauge
what we can accomplish. That’s a huge problem – because grades and intelligence are
two very different things.
Grades or marks are just a number that only
views your performance in a test. It only shows how much you got in that test.
It doesn't show your personality. How could a grade show your personality or
how could a grade judge you?
Here’s the list of people who did not even
complete their formal education or scored the best, but do you know about them?
Sure you do!
·Charlie
Chaplin ·Rudyard
Kipling ·Michael
Dell ·Steve
Jobs ·George
Washington ·Bill
Gates ·Christiano
Ronaldo ·Mahendra
Singh Dhoni
And the list goes on; imagine these names
sticking to grades as their criteria to become famous, would they have been!
Intelligence is a broad measurement of
performance that includes good grades, but they are not the only thing. Society
may claim a student to be not smart is mistaken. A guided students towards
passion is smarter than as a follower fulfilling just the requirements of life
and society because he/she hasfound a way to excel at what he/she want, in this
case it is school. It is the desire to succeed that drives the student in the
direction of success in any of his/her endeavor.
