Brightland School : All work no play would make your child dull.
Play is often defined as children’s work. It is through play
that children organize and make sense of the world. The play also helps children
work through tensions in their lives. Play brings out children’s creativity and
so much more.
Think of the importance of play in your own life. As a
child, you probably were engaged in active play like riding bikes, climbing
trees, or jumping rope. You probably were also engaged in quieter play like
drawing pictures, playing board games, and constructing elaborate structures.
You learned much from these experiences, including building your strength and
imagination, taking turns and following rules. Imagine the same for your
child; hence, the play makes things to be looked upon differently; it continues to
be important in the lives of children as they enter school or even they move
out.

or activities to choose from will allow children to express themselves.

movement, balance and to test their own limits.

language. Knowing when you should incorporate yourself into your child’s play is
key.

8. Play is
fun. Learning to play well, both by themselves and with others, sets children
up to be contented and sociable.
